On Saturday we had a stroll in central market, James found his salty licorice so at least he was happy. Had a look in china town and after seeing all the yummie food we just had to get something for ourselfs. After some dumplings and noodles we were ready to walk back home. In the evening we went to the cinema and saw ”the secret life of pets” which was really cute but maybe not the best movie I’ve seen.
Sunday we spent doing laundry to prepare for Perth and afterwards we went to this really cool food truck event. We had some Greek food - souvlaki and fries in a bread, and a burger with fried mac and cheese. I’m seriously gonna gain so much weight here, oh well. It was worth it. In the night there was this festival called OZASIA down by the river, it was so nice, they had put up a lot of lanterns and there was a parade so it was a great end of the weekend.
Last Sunday we went with a group of people to the wine district Barossa Valley, 1 hour north of Adelaide. We met the group at uni at 9 and after eating a giant muffin we were on our way!
The first place was called Pindarie Winery, I liked this place a lot. Both the wines and the cheese was great! And they had a super cute dog. There were palm trees all along the way to the next winery which was Seppeltsfield. The surroundings and restaurant were amazing, the wine not so much haha. We had sparkling reds and port wine and I think the majority of the group was pretty happy to leave for lunch! Everyone was starving so the pizza tasted really good. The last winery was my favorite one, based only on the wine. It was called Wolf Blass and I liked a white wine flavored with passion fruit so much I couldn’t resist buying a bottle. Victoria on the other hand she liked all the ones I didn’t and bought a bottle of red wine which I didn’t even finish my glass of haha.
My friend from Sweden is here now so there will be more updates soon.
